We met at work. What started as friendly workplace banter grew into so much more. Emma always laughed at Spencer's dumb jokes when he was working with his retail design partner. She even asked for his number because it was apparent there was so much in common and she thought a friendship could blossom (he said no, the first time). Eventually we went on our first date (it literally lasted 16 hours) and the rest is history. From the dive bar to the symphony our relationship has grown into something no one ever expected (even us).

We have decided to elope to Lincolnville, Maine to have a small ceremony with our parents. We had all of the intentions to have a larger, traditional wedding ceremony in California before we moved to Sweden in June. However it soon became clear that our ambitions were not possible within the given timeframe. We look forward to hosting a commitment ceremony and celebration at a later date with all of our beloved friends and family.

We are relocating to Malmo, Sweden with IKEA in late June; Spencer has accepted a job as part of global expansion. We are very excited to travel the world, eat new foods, meet new people, and explore together. We plan on getting a two bedroom home so that as many people as possible can visit us. There are still many details to be figured out, but we are diving into life head first and couldn't be happier.
